Shony Alex Braun, 70, Holocaust survivor, violinist and composer who wrote a "Symphony of the Holocaust," died Friday in Los Angeles of pneumonia. Sandor (Shony) Alex Braun describes how music gave him the strength to survive while imprisoned in concentration camps Shony was born to religious Jewish parents in a small Transylvanian city.
He began to learn the violin at age 5. Braun, Shony Alex(72) Passed away on October 3, from complications due to pneumonia. He was a Holocaust survivor who overcame great adversity to become a world-renown violinst and composer. Shony Alex Braun was a violin virtuoso, a prolific composer and also a Holocaust Survivor.
